Four Seasons Vancouver, hotel in Vancouver, Canada
Four Seasons Vancouver was a tall modern hotel in downtown, directly connected to Pacific Centre shopping mall and steps from the Skytrain station. The building contained over 300 rooms, a fine dining restaurant, an outdoor heated pool, fitness facilities, and multiple event spaces for meetings and celebrations.
The hotel opened in 1976 as a modern addition to downtown Vancouver's skyline and operated for nearly 44 years. Its closure in January 2020 came when the management decided not to renew the lease, after which plans emerged to demolish the structure and build a mixed-use tower on the site.
The location offers easy walking access to shops, restaurants, and parks, with the nearby Skytrain providing direct connections to the airport and other city areas. The downtown position makes it convenient to explore nearby attractions on foot or by using public transit.
The hotel was directly owned and operated by Four Seasons rather than franchised like many competitors, which shaped its consistent service standards and guest experience over its nearly 44-year history. This independent operation allowed the property to maintain its distinctive approach to hospitality without external corporate constraints.
