Mars Hill Church, Church building in Ballard district, Seattle, United States.
Mars Hill Church is a church building in the Ballard district of Seattle, housed in a former hardware store with open interior spaces. The structure contains large assembly areas for worship services and several smaller rooms for group meetings and activities of different sizes.
A small Bible study group founded the church in 1996 and built it over the years into an organization with 15 locations across four states. The institution dissolved completely in 2014 and the former congregations continued their activities as independent entities.
The congregation developed extensive programs including international missionary work, worship music production, and distribution of religious materials across multiple countries.
The building offers separate areas for children's groups and has technical facilities for multimedia production. The spaces are set up for both large gatherings and smaller group meetings.
The church experienced rapid expansion across several states and then disappeared completely within a short time. The former locations afterward continued their work as independent congregations in Washington state.
