Located on a plateau 25 miles east of Seattle, Sammamish extends over 18 square miles of land bordered by Lake Sammamish and Snoqualmie Valley.
The name originates from Native American tribes who inhabited the area since the Pleistocene period, with first settlers arriving in the 1870s.
The population of 67,455 residents includes established communities from White, Asian, and Hispanic backgrounds who participate in local farmers markets and recreational programs.
