Arlington

Arlington sits along the Stillaguamish River in the western foothills of the Cascade Range. The community spreads across a river valley surrounded by forests and mountain views.

The settlement started in 1890 as two separate towns that came together in 1903 to form one community. This merger shaped how the place developed and grew over the following decades.

The local museum displays artifacts and photographs from the river valley's early settlement period. You can see objects that tell the story of how people lived and worked in this region long ago.

The municipal airport serves as a regional flying hub and hosts an air show during summer months. Parking is readily available throughout the community, and main roads are clearly marked for easy navigation.

A neighborhood called Smokey Point got its name from a 1950s café that operated in the area. This section of town joined the larger community officially only in 1999.
