Local residents refer to this location as Hendry's Beach, named after the Hendry family who cultivated farmland in the area during the 1870s.
The beach operates from 8:00 AM until sunset, offering free parking, outdoor showers, picnic areas, and The Boathouse restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.
The beach provides designated areas for off-leash dog walking east of the main beach, making it a primary destination for pet owners.
