Yosemite Falls, Waterfall in Yosemite National Park
Yosemite Falls is the highest waterfall in Yosemite National Park, dropping a total of 2,425 feet from the top of the upper fall to the base of the lower fall.
The Ahwahneechee tribe believed that the plunge pool at its base was inhabited by the spirits of several witches, called the Poloti.
The falls are a major attraction in the park, especially in late spring when the water flow is at its peak.
The Yosemite Falls Trail leads to the top of the falls and offers stunning views of both the falls and the valley.
It's actually made up of three separate falls: Upper Yosemite Fall, the middle cascades, and Lower Yosemite Fall.
