Reno Nevada Temple

The Reno Nevada Temple features gray granite exterior walls, a single attached spire, and stands 71 feet tall at 5,195 feet above sea level.

The construction of the temple began on July 24, 1999, and Thomas S. Monson dedicated the completed structure on April 23, 2000.

The temple contains two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and one baptistry where Latter-day Saints conduct religious ceremonies and marriages.

Located at 2000 Beaumont Parkway in Reno, the temple provides religious services to over 25,000 members from western Nevada and eastern California.

The granite used for the exterior walls comes from a quarry near Sharon, Vermont, spanning across a total floor area of 10,700 square feet.
