Paris Dauphine University, Research university in western Paris, France
Paris Dauphine University is a research institution in western Paris with six laboratories covering mathematics, economics, management, law, computer science, and social sciences. The modern campus spreads over several buildings that include lecture halls, seminar rooms, and offices for researchers.
The institution began in 1968 as a university center with open admission for all students. In 2004, it gained the status of grand établissement with entry procedures based on application and review of files.
Students can move between humanities and science programs at different Paris locations through its PSL University membership. This collaboration allows access to libraries, labs, and seminars beyond their own faculty.
The university grants degrees from bachelor to doctorate with a focus on decision and organizational sciences. Regular students and participants in executive education programs share facilities across the campus.
The campus stands on the grounds of the former NATO headquarters built in 1959. Membership in the Conférence des Grandes Écoles gives the degrees a special standing in French higher education.
