Musée archéologique d'Eauze

The museum presents permanent collections including prehistoric stone tools, Roman sarcophagi, inscribed tombstones, steles, mosaics, and pottery from local excavations.

The discovery of a 120-kilogram treasure in 1985 near the old train station led to the establishment of this museum, which opened its doors in 1995.

The numismatic collection contains 4,706 silver denarii, 23,297 antoniniani coins, 45 bronze coins, and six gold coins from the Gallo-Roman period.

The museum provides wheelchair access, guided tours, and maintains different opening hours between April and November to accommodate various visitor schedules.

The institution houses silver cutlery, carved ivory-handled knives, gold necklaces with precious stones, and pearl inlays from the third century.
