Château de Rupt-sur-Saône

Château de Rupt-sur-Saône is a castle in a small French village that combines multiple buildings on its grounds. The central keep has a round shape, surrounded by farm structures and secondary buildings that reflect different periods and form a large compound.

The castle was founded in the 12th century and was initially owned by the Pesmes family, who used it as a stronghold. A major turning point came in 1820 when a general from the Napoleonic army bought the property and transformed it into a residential mansion.
