Château de Jambville

Château de Jambville sits on a 50-hectare estate with open fields and forests surrounding the grounds. The building displays different architectural layers from construction and renovation work that happened between the 15th and 18th centuries.

The property was built on the foundations of a medieval fortress and came into the possession of Antoine Le Camus in 1650. Over the following centuries, the structure was repeatedly rebuilt and expanded until it took on its current appearance.

Since 1952, the castle has served as the National Scout Training Centre for Scouts et Guides de France. Throughout the year, groups gather here for educational programs and training, making it a living centre for young people and their learning.

The castle offers various accommodation options, ranging from traditional rooms to outdoor camping spaces. The property is large, so visitors should allow time to explore the grounds and become oriented.

Since 2008, the property has pursued a sustainable living initiative that connects environmental education with historical preservation. This blend of modern ecological thinking and care for the past sets the place apart.
