Beffroi de Sommières is a tall stone clock tower and former city gate in the center of Sommières, France. Its square base supports thick weathered walls, a simple clock face, and a small belfry with a bronze bell at the top.
Built during the Middle Ages in a gothic style, this structure combined a watchtower and a city gate within the old fortifications. It was repaired over the centuries and is now protected as a monument historique inscrit.
The bell once marked daily routines and called people together, shaping the rhythm of local life. Today the tower remains a familiar meeting point, and passersby often glance up to check the time on its simple clock face.

The bronze bell in the belfry was cast long ago in 1613 and still rings today. From the top, guards once watched the surrounding countryside, and the narrow stone stairs still lead to that old lookout platform.
