Plage de Baraci

Plage de Baraci is a sandy beach stretching roughly 300 meters along the Olmeto coast, with natural rock outcrops marking its edges. Low Mediterranean vegetation borders the sand, and the seabed slopes gently, creating shallow water near the shore.

Fishermen from Olmeto have worked these waters for centuries, anchoring boats and harvesting catches from the surrounding bay. This long fishing tradition kept the beach in its natural state without major development.

Local families gather here for swimming and picnics, especially during warm months when residents from nearby villages spend their days by the water. The sheltered setting and calm conditions make it a natural meeting place for the community.

Restrooms and showers are located at the top of the beach, accessible from the road passing through Olmeto. Street parking is available directly by the entrance, making arrival and departure straightforward.

The water here is notably calm compared to other coastal spots because the bay is sheltered from waves by surrounding land. This tranquility makes it a preferred choice when visitors seek relaxation without current or swell.
