Plage de Bodri

Plage de Bodri is a sandy beach in the Gulf of Ile Rousse spanning roughly 400 meters, with gentle sloping waters and pale sand. Round rocks are scattered across the shore, creating a distinctive textured surface.

The beach remained a natural coastal formation for generations before the Train des Plages railway connected it to Calvi and Ile Rousse in the early 1900s. This railway link brought travelers to the shore and shaped its development as a destination.

The northern section welcomes visitors practicing naturism, reflecting a long-standing French tradition of designated clothing-optional beach areas. You can observe how this practice is openly accepted and integrated into daily beach life here.

A parking area sits near the beach, and lifeguards monitor the water during summer months. A food truck provides refreshments if you need something to eat or drink during your visit.

The beach is easily reached by the Train des Plages, a nostalgic narrow-gauge railway that makes multiple daily stops here. This train connection transforms arrival at the shore into an experience that goes beyond typical car or foot access.
