Grottes de Blanot, Show cave system in Blanot, France

The cave network extends 80 meters underground through a series of limestone galleries containing numerous geological formations shaped by water over time.

Doctor Dumolin conducted initial explorations of the caves in 1739, documenting the geological characteristics and establishing their scientific importance.

The Cailleverdière Association maintains these caves, organizing guided tours that educate visitors about the regional geology and natural heritage.

The caves maintain a constant temperature of 13°C throughout the year, with guided tours operating daily from July through September.

The cave system includes the adjacent Grotte du Bison, where excavations uncovered ancient animal remains and human artifacts.
