Saratoga Springs Utah Temple, Religious temple in Saratoga Springs, United States
The Saratoga Springs Utah Temple is a Latter-day Saint temple in Saratoga Springs, Utah, a growing city on the western shore of Utah Lake. The building is made of light-colored concrete panels, has a single central spire, and contains several rooms used for religious ceremonies as well as a baptistry.
The temple was announced in 2017 and was the 179th built by this religious organization worldwide. Its dedication was part of a broader period during which the church commissioned several new temples across the United States at the same time.
The interior features glass details and floor patterns drawn from the landscape around Utah Lake and the nearby mountains, connecting the space to its surroundings. These design choices are visible throughout the building and reflect a deliberate effort to root the space in its local setting.
The temple sits at roughly 4,600 feet (about 1,400 meters) above sea level near Utah Lake and is surrounded by landscaped grounds that are open for walking. The interior is only accessible to members of the church, so visitors should check in advance which areas they are allowed to enter.
A water play fountain in the entrance area draws families with children and gives the approach to the building an unusually open and playful character for a religious site. This outdoor area is open to the public and is used by locals regardless of their faith.
