Thanksgiving Point, Educational complex and botanical garden in Lehi, Utah.
Thanksgiving Point is an educational complex with botanical gardens spanning 55 acres and combining themed gardens, museums, and learning facilities in one place. The site brings together natural sciences, history, and agricultural exploration in a connected experience.
Karen and Alan Ashton founded this place in 1996 on former farmland to create a community garden and learning center. From this initial vision grew a comprehensive complex with multiple attractions.
The place hosts seasonal gatherings where communities come together to enjoy tulip festivals in spring or winter light displays. These events shape the visitor experience and create moments that feel personal and shared with others.
The grounds divide into five main sections: Ashton Gardens, Butterfly Biosphere, Farm Country, Museum of Ancient Life, and Museum of Natural Curiosity. Visitors can explore all areas or focus on specific attractions that interest them most.
The Museum of Ancient Life displays one of Utah's largest collections of mounted dinosaurs, where visitors can watch paleontologists working with fossils. This chance offers insight into the hands-on side of scientific research.
