Régie intermunicipale de police de la Rivière-du-Nord, Police headquarters in Prévost, Quebec
The headquarters was a regional police facility that coordinated law enforcement operations across several municipalities in the Laurentian region. The facility managed its central operations from Prévost until the service concluded its activities.
The service was established to centralize law enforcement administration across multiple Laurentian municipalities for more efficient operations. In spring 2009, the council decided to cease operations after provincial authorization was obtained for the closure.
The organization represented a collaborative approach to law enforcement, bringing together officers from different municipalities to serve local communities in the Laurentians.
The facility is no longer operational and was closed in 2009, so it cannot be visited. Former personnel were transferred to the provincial police service.
The headquarters remained in Prévost even after the municipality withdrew from the service agreement on April 1, 2004.
