Heiternplatz

The Heiternplatz extends over a hilltop area surrounded by lime trees, offering views of Zofingen's old town and the distant Alpine mountains.

Originally established in 1745 as a military training ground, the Heiternplatz transformed into a public space while maintaining its historical lime tree quadrangle layout.

The site holds class A Swiss cultural property status and serves as a central venue for outdoor concerts, festivals, and community gatherings throughout the year.

The grounds provide multiple benches beneath the lime trees, with designated areas for events and clear pathways connecting to the adjacent wildlife park.

The lime tree quadrangle formation creates natural shade patterns that change with seasons, while preserving the original 18th-century geometric design.
