The standard climbing route begins at Mill Creek Trailhead and involves a class 2 hike through the saddle connecting Sunshine Peak with Redcloud Peak.
The mountain rises 4,450 feet above Sherman townsite within just 1.2 miles, creating one of the steepest elevation gains among Colorado peaks.
