Handies Peak is a mountain in the San Juan Range of Colorado, rising to approximately 4,284 meters (14,048 feet). The terrain features alpine meadows that transition to rocky slopes as elevation increases.
The first recorded ascent took place in 1874 when Franklin Rhoda reached the summit. Since then, the mountain has become a popular destination for climbers in the region.

The Southwest Slopes route offers class 1 hiking trails to the summit. The best conditions occur during summer months when snow has melted.
