Western Hotel

The Western Hotel is a historic property in Ouray, Colorado, featuring Victorian Italianate design with stained glass windows, an open second-floor veranda, and a traditional wooden bar. The structure displays characteristic frontier construction with careful craftsmanship throughout its spaces.

The building was constructed in 1891 during the mining boom and ranks among Colorado's oldest hotels. It has witnessed Ouray's growth through the western expansion era and remained a key landmark for the local community.

The original saloon features a hand-carved wooden bar that reflects the craftsmanship of frontier settlements from the mining era. Visitors can see how such spaces served as gathering places for the community during Colorado's boom years.
