Los Lunas

Los Lunas is a village in Valencia County situated on elevated terrain on the west bank of the Rio Grande, with a volcanic formation marking its western boundary. The area was granted to the Luna family in the early 1700s and remained under their ownership for generations. The village received official recognition as an incorporated municipality in the early 1900s.
