Devils Garden, Rock formation in Salt Valley, Grand County, United States.

Devils Garden is a rock formation in Salt Valley featuring numerous sandstone fins with natural arches scattered across the landscape in various sizes. The terrain displays layers of stone carved by wind and water over millions of years, creating distinctive ridges and openings throughout the area.

A Hungarian prospector named Alexander Ringhoffer discovered this area in the 1920s and brought it to the attention of railroad officials as a potential tourist destination. His promotion helped establish the site as a place visitors could explore and study.

The site serves as an educational location where visitors observe the effects of erosion on sandstone formations spanning millions of years.

A trail system winds through the formations and lets visitors walk past numerous arches and rock features on foot. The routes vary in length and difficulty, so you can choose how far to venture depending on your comfort level.

The area contains one natural stone arch that ranks among the longest stone spans found anywhere in North America in terms of its horizontal reach. This remarkable structure stands out as one of the most striking features visitors encounter while exploring the site.
