Omak is a city in north-central Washington situated at 844 feet (257 m) elevation near the Okanogan Highlands. The city spreads across 3.43 square miles (8.9 km²) in a region defined by rolling terrain and river access.
The region was originally Native American territory before the Okanogan Irrigation Project transformed it into agricultural land in 1907. The city was officially incorporated in 1911 and developed as a hub for farming.
