McMahon Stadium

McMahon Stadium is a sports facility in Calgary with two main grandstands providing seating for about 37,000 spectators. The venue hosts football matches, university competitions, and various other major events throughout the year.

The facility opened in 1960 following a swift construction period and was funded by Frank and George McMahon. It later served as an Olympic venue in 1988 when it hosted both the opening and closing ceremonies of the Winter Games.
