Mount Hunt, Mountain summit in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, US.

Mount Hunt reaches an elevation of 10,788 feet in the Teton Range, featuring steep slopes and offering views across the surrounding mountain landscape.

The mountain received its name from William Price Hunt, who led the Astor Expedition through the region between 1811 and 1812.

The first documented climb of Mount Hunt occurred in 1929 when mountaineer Fritiof Fryxell reached the peak using basic climbing techniques.

Climbers can access Mount Hunt through Open Canyon, with late spring to early fall providing the most suitable conditions for ascending.

The summit maintains a prominence of 623 feet above the surrounding terrain, creating a distinct profile within the Teton mountain chain.
