Ribbon Cascade, Waterfall in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, United States

Ribbon Cascade is a waterfall in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, located in Hanging Canyon just north of Cascade Canyon. It drops in a long, thin line down a rocky face, passing through several sections before reaching the pools below.

Hanging Canyon, where the waterfall sits, was shaped by glacial movement over a very long period. Since the glaciers retreated, snowmelt from the surrounding peaks has fed the stream that forms this cascade.

The waterfall is visible from the east side of Jenny Lake, especially when the water is flowing strongly in spring. There are no marked trails leading directly to it, so the terrain around the canyon is uneven and requires solid preparation.

The cascade is fed by a hidden stream system that connects the Lake of the Crags, Ramshead Lake, and Arrowhead Pool high above in the mountains. Without this chain of linked water bodies, the waterfall would barely flow outside of snowmelt season.
