Kepler Cascades, Waterfall on Firehole River, Yellowstone National Park, United States.

The cascade formation drops 150 feet in multiple stages along the Firehole River, creating a sequence of water movements through rocky terrain.

The Washburn-Langford-Doane Expedition documented these falls in 1870, and Superintendent Philetus Norris named them in 1881 after governor Hoyt's son.

The cascades appear in numerous early park documentation materials, including the 1934 Haynes Picture Shops postcards that captured their natural formation.

Visitors can observe the cascades from viewing platforms located 2.5 miles south of Old Faithful, directly accessible from the main park road.

The water temperature varies significantly as the cascade mixes with thermal spring inputs, affecting the river's ecosystem and fish populations.
