The Holcomb USD 363 public school district serves the educational needs of students through multiple facilities dedicated to different grade levels.
The city is easily reached by road and sits in a flat region suited for driving. Visitors should note that services are limited and planning ahead is recommended.
The former Sherlock was originally connected by railroad, which enabled settlement in the area. Today the local roads and town layout still reflect this rail-based past.
