Fondation Zinsou

The Fondation Zinsou operates across two locations showcasing contemporary African art in gallery spaces complemented by workshops and educational offerings. The exhibitions feature artistic practices from creators across the continent.

The Zinsou family launched a private initiative in 2005 that led to the museum opening in 2013, dedicated to African art. This founding phase established the groundwork for its ongoing work.

The foundation presents contemporary African artists through talks, dance performances, and concerts that celebrate the continent's creative output. Visitors experience a living program that brings creators and audiences together in dialogue.

The museum operates on varying schedules throughout the week, with extended hours Tuesday through Saturday and limited afternoon hours on Mondays. Visitors should confirm exact opening times before visiting, as schedules may adjust seasonally.

The foundation runs mobile outreach programs such as the Bus Culturel, which brings art presentations to different communities. These decentralized initiatives allow people beyond the museum spaces to engage with artistic activities.
