Borgia Apartment, Renaissance frescoes in Vatican City
The Borgia Apartments are a suite of rooms located within the Apostolic Palace in Vatican City.
They were commissioned by Pope Alexander VI, Rodrigo Borgia, and painted by Bernardino di Betto, known as Pinturicchio, between 1492 and 1494.
The apartments are culturally significant due to their extensive collection of Renaissance frescoes.
Today, they form part of the Vatican Library.
The Borgia Apartments are one of the few parts of the Vatican Palace that are not open to tourists.
