Großer Widderstein

Großer Widderstein is a mountain summit in Vorarlberg, Austria, rising to a significant elevation in the Walsertal mountains. The ascent follows marked trails and passes a mountain hut before the terrain steepens toward the peak.

The first documented ascent took place in 1669 by a local clergyman, showing the mountain was explored early in Alpine mountaineering. Later, various climbing routes were established on the peak, with some considered demanding.
