Purkersdorf

Purkersdorf is a municipality in Lower Austria situated within the Vienna Woods landscape. The town spreads across rolling forested terrain with scattered villages and farmsteads throughout its area.

The municipality belonged to the Wien-Umgebung District until 2016, when administrative changes moved it to the Sankt Pölten-Land District. This reorganization reshaped how the local area was governed.

The municipal library functions as an educational center, providing literary resources and organizing regular events that connect residents through knowledge sharing activities.

The Unter Purkersdorf railway station provides regular train connections to Vienna and nearby locations. A parking facility with spaces for vehicles is available for those arriving by car.

A nature park with walking trails crosses the area and leads to a viewpoint with panoramic views. Along the paths you will find animal enclosures and information boards that introduce visitors to the local landscape.
