Palais Coburg, Neoclassical palace in Innere Stadt, Vienna, Austria
The Coburg Palace stands above the Braunbastei fortification walls with multiple independent columns forming its central portico and symmetrical facade layout.
Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg commissioned architect Karl Schleps to design this residence, which was constructed between 1840 and 1845 on Vienna's former defense structures.
The palace reflects the architectural preferences of 19th-century Viennese nobility through its neoclassical design elements and grand interior decorations.
The palace now operates as a five-star hotel with 33 suites and maintains direct access to central Vienna's transportation networks and main attractions.
In July 2015, this palace hosted the signing of the international nuclear agreement with Iran, marking its role in modern diplomatic history.
