Flachau

Flachau is a rural municipality in the Salzburger Sportwelt region of Austria. The area offers over 200 kilometers of slopes connected by many lifts and attracts winter sports enthusiasts of all levels.

The municipality grew from a quiet rural village into a modern winter sports center through the construction of extensive lift and slope infrastructure. This transformation began in the late 20th century and made it a core location within the larger ski region.

The Devils Route ties the area to old traditions and stories from the Alpine region. Visitors can discover traditional elements of mountain culture preserved in the landscape and nature along the way.

The area is easy to reach via several motorway exits that provide direct access to the ski lifts. Ski pass holders travel free on public transportation across the entire Salzburg region.

The 12 Peaks Trophy challenge guides winter sports enthusiasts across twelve mountain summits and offers participants an exciting journey through varying elevations. This special adventure starts from the Spacejet 1 station and connects multiple ski areas together.
