Gerlossteinbahn, Aerial tramway in Hainzenberg, Austria.
The Gerlossteinbahn aerial tramway rises from the base of Gerlossteinwand to an elevation of 1,650 meters, traversing 2,264 meters of Alpine terrain.
The construction of this transport system in 1988 marked a period of infrastructure development in the Zillertal region to support winter tourism.
The tramway connects visitors to the Zillertal Arena, where local mountain sports traditions continue through skiing, hiking, and climbing activities.
Operating from May through October during summer season, the tramway runs daily between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM with a midday break from 12:15 PM.
The mountain station provides access to a 380-meter via ferrata route on Gerlossteinwand and the Arena Skyliner zipline for mountain adventures.
