Doctor Rudolf Urbantschitsch established this specialized facility for treating nervous and metabolic disorders, operating successfully until World War I affected its finances.
The facility incorporated reading rooms, music rooms, and winter gardens, reflecting the early 1900s approach to combining medical care with social activities.
The sanatorium contained 76 patient rooms, laboratories, physical therapy facilities, and offered treatments including hydrotherapy, mud baths, and electrotherapy procedures.
The building housed the largest electric clock system in Vienna during its operational period as a medical facility in the early 20th century.
