Dreieckspitze

The Dreieckspitze rises to 3,031 meters, featuring steep slopes and marked trails through the Rieserferner mountain range between East Tyrol and South Tyrol.

Early 20th century mountaineers established multiple climbing routes to reach the peak, marking the beginning of documented ascents in this section of the Eastern Alps.

The mountain location at the Austrian-Italian border creates a meeting point where visitors experience both Germanic and Mediterranean influences in local traditions.

The southeast ridge provides the most direct path to the summit, with access points starting from Sankt Jakob in Defereggen or Sand in Taufers municipalities.

The winter months transform the mountain into a ski touring destination, with several routes available through the Valle del Rio Napfen and Val dei Dossi.
