Podersdorf Lighthouse

Podersdorf Lighthouse is a white structure located at the western edge of Podersdorf am See on the shores of Lake Neusiedl. The building stands at the end of a jetty near a small harbor and serves as a navigation marker for boat traffic on the lake.

The lighthouse was built in 1998 to guide boat traffic and warn water users of storms on Lake Neusiedl. This structure represents a modern addition to navigation safety on the inland lake.

The lighthouse marks the intersection of Austrian wine culture and water activities, surrounded by local vineyards and recreational water facilities.

The structure is not open to the public for entry, but visitors can walk along the jetty to photograph it and enjoy views of the lake. The area is easily accessible and provides clear sightlines across the water and surrounding landscape.

This structure is one of only three lighthouses found in the landlocked country of Austria. It demonstrates how an inland lake requires the same navigation safety measures as larger bodies of water.
