The white lighthouse stands twelve meters tall at the western edge of Podersdorf am See, next to a small harbor on Lake Neusiedl.
The lighthouse, inaugurated in 1998, was built to guide boats and issue warnings to water sports participants on Lake Neusiedl during storms.
The lighthouse marks the intersection of Austrian wine culture and water activities, surrounded by local vineyards and recreational water facilities.
The structure remains closed to public access, but visitors can walk along the jetty to photograph its exterior and observe Lake Neusiedl.
This navigation aid represents one of only three lighthouses in landlocked Austria, positioned at the end of a jetty on Lake Neusiedl.
