The Augustiner Brewery occupies 5,000 square meters of indoor space with multiple halls and a beer garden accommodating 1,400 guests at the Mönchsberg mountain foot.
Founded in 1621 by Augustinian monks, this establishment has maintained continuous brewing operations for over 400 years in the same location.
Visitors select stone steins at the entrance, obtain tickets at designated booths, then fill their vessels with beer directly from wooden barrels.
The brewery opens at 3 PM on weekdays and 2:30 PM on weekends, with the Schmankerlgang food market offering traditional Austrian meals until 10 PM.
Eight distinct dining halls, including Stockhammersaal and Augustinersaal, provide spaces for gatherings of up to 200 people within the historic monastery walls.
