The Felsenbühne Staatz theater sits at the base of Staatz Mountain, featuring 1,200 seats against a natural backdrop of cliffs and forests.
From 1987 to 1998, the venue hosted Karl May festivals under the direction of actor and director Paul Robert Roberts, who established the theater.
Since 2000, the theater has presented annual summer musical productions, including performances of Evita, Zorro, and Les Misérables.
The theater operates during summer months with performances scheduled in the evening, allowing visitors to combine shows with regional wine tasting experiences.
Over 450,000 spectators have attended productions at this outdoor venue, with more than 300,000 attending musical performances since its establishment.
