Grinzing Parish Church

The Grinzing Parish Church is a Gothic building featuring pointed arches and ribbed vaults typical of its architectural period. The interior displays religious artworks and traditional furnishings that define the appearance of a classical parish church.

A group of twelve winemakers funded construction of this place of worship in the early 1400s to avoid long journeys to another church. The building later survived severe attacks and was rebuilt with help from a nearby monastery.

The name Grinzing refers to the wine-making community that shaped this place. The church sits at the heart of the wine village and remains a gathering point where locals and visitors experience the winemaking traditions of the area.
