Schloss Hackledt

Schloss Hackledt is a robust stone building with traditional Austrian architectural elements located in the Eggerding region. The structure defines the landscape with its walls, towers, and classical features typical of castles from this period.

The building originated in the late 14th century under the Hacköder family and served as their seat for generations. In the early 1800s, the estate changed ownership and experienced various phases of use afterward.

The castle displays the building traditions of the Alpine region through its stone walls and local architectural details that remain visible today. Walking around the structure, visitors can observe period windows and roof features characteristic of this area.

The castle sits in a rural area and is best reached by car since public transportation is limited here. Allow extra time for local roads when driving and check ahead, as the building is not always freely accessible.

Today the castle operates as a restaurant and inn, where visitors can dine in historic rooms. This new use gives the place a special quality, allowing people to experience history rather than simply observe it.
