Kesselfall, Mountain waterfall in Semriach, Austria
The Kesselfall waterfall drops 38 meters through white limestone formations, marking the highest point of the Kesselfallklamm gorge system.
The initial path through Kesselfallklamm, leading to Kesselfall, was established by the Steirischer Gebirgsverein organization in 1904.
Limestone waterfalls named Kesselfall are found throughout Austria, reflecting the natural geological formations that shape the alpine landscape.
Visitors can access the waterfall via 52 wooden bridges and ladders, climbing 2,800 steps through a 1,000-meter path starting at Gasthaus Sandwirt.
The continuous flow of water maintains the pure white color of the limestone walls, creating a natural cleaning system within the gorge.
