Naturpark Ötscher-Tormäuer

Naturpark Ötscher-Tormäuer is a protected nature park with limestone mountains, deep gorges, cascading waterfalls, and extensive forests spread across the region. The rivers have carved dramatic cliff walls and ravines that run throughout this landscape.

The nature park was established in 1970 to protect this diverse landscape in Lower Austria. Since then, it has served as a model for preserving such natural areas in the region.

Trails and gorge walks require sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, especially in damp areas. The best time to visit is from May through October, when all paths are accessible and weather conditions are stable.
