Schattberg, Mountain summit in Kitzbühel Alps, Austria.
The Schattberg mountain reaches an elevation of 2,097 meters and consists of three distinct peaks: West, Middle, and East Schattberg.
The original Schattberg Cable Car, constructed in 1960, contained the world's strongest standing cable measuring 63 millimeters in diameter.
Mountain huts scattered across Schattberg's slopes provide traditional Austrian meals and shelter while maintaining Alpine hospitality traditions.
Visitors can access the summit through multiple marked hiking trails or via the modern Schattberg X-Press cableway installed in 2003.
February and August experience equal peak climbing activity, with each month accounting for 28 percent of annual ascents to the summit.
