Panüelerkopf, Mountain summit in Nenzing, Austria
Panüelerkopf is a summit in the Rätikon range that rises to 2859 meters and displays exposed limestone cliffs alongside steep dropping slopes. The mountain features multiple faces with dramatic vertical rock walls visible from different approach routes.
The path to the summit, known as Hoppe, was established during the 1950s. This route was created under circumstances shaped by the political conditions of that era.
Local agricultural communities maintain private roads leading to Nenzinger Himmel, preserving traditional access control methods through established fee systems.
The climb from Brand requires approximately 1950 meters of elevation gain across about 13 kilometers. Plan for roughly 6 to 7 hours to complete the entire hike.
Along the route is a rock overhang where water continuously drips, creating distinctive patterns on the stone surface. Hikers often notice this feature for its unusual appearance.
