Palüdbahn, Aerial lift in Brand, Austria
The Palüdbahn is an aerial gondola in Brand that connects the valley to Bürserberg mountain. It has cabins for up to eight people and rises across a vertical gain of 538 meters (1,766 feet) from the base station at 1070 meters (3,510 feet) to the top station at 1608 meters (5,276 feet).
This lift opened in 2010, replacing an older chairlift that had previously served the area. The modern cabin system represented a major upgrade in the valley's mountain access infrastructure.
The lift system integrates into the winter sports heritage of Vorarlberg, supporting both local recreational activities and regional tourism development throughout the seasons.
The lift moves around 1430 people per hour and runs throughout the year. From the top, you can easily reach ski runs and hiking trails in the area.
The journey takes about 4 minutes and 50 seconds, allowing visitors to move between valley and mountain quickly. The system is known for operating reliably even in challenging weather conditions.
