Voithvilla, Neo-Baroque villa in St. Pölten, Austria
Voithvilla is a Neo-Baroque residence in St. Pölten featuring a mansard roof above the first floor and a central portico supported by four columns on the north side. The estate includes the publicly accessible Südpark with water basins, lateral pergolas, and replica Baroque statues scattered throughout the grounds.
Built from 1910 to 1917 for industrialist Walther Voith, the residence received a northern service wing in 1922 and an east-facing veranda extension in 1929. These additions expanded the original structure over the following two decades.
The building now serves as Kulturheim Süd, housing a music school and functioning as a civil wedding venue with a ceremonial hall. Regular concerts and cultural events bring people together throughout the year.
The grounds are accessible during daylight hours and invite a walk through the park's water features and replica statues. Access to events at Kulturheim Süd requires advance booking depending on the program.
After World War Two, the building fell under American administration before becoming a gift to the city of St. Pölten in 1960. During this interim period, it operated for years as a daycare facility.
